While I provide quality loc care and maintenance, a Loctician specializes in more advanced techniques, including interlocking, loc reattachment, repair, reconstruction, and extensive loc maintenance. I absolutely care for and maintain your locs, but if you require extensive or highly specialized loc work, I recommend seeking a Loctician who specializes in those services. ### How should I prepare for a loc appointment? Arriving with clean, completely dry hair and a clear vision of the style you want can make the service go more smoothly. It’s also useful to share details about your hair’s current condition and any specific concerns. If you’re unsure how to properly clean your hair before the appointment, feel free to ask for guidance. ### How can I care for my locs between appointments? Keep your locs hydrated with a moisturizing spray as needed, and wear a satin or silk bonnet to protect your style while sleeping. If your style includes human hair curls, avoid mousse. Instead, use water and a water-based conditioner to gently detangle, working from the bottom up to minimize tangling and breakage. Hydration between appointments helps maintain healthy locs and beautiful styles. WASH YOUR HAIR- Do not go months without washing your crown. ### Are Coloring Services Offered? Absolutely not, please consult a licensed cosmetologist for this service and also make sure to stay informed about how to properly maintain your Locs afterward. ### What is the fee for after-hours service? There is an after-hours fee for weekdays because weekdays are reserved for re-twist and style services. Any style that adds hair to your natural locs will incur an additional charge for after-hours service. Any soft loc will not be serviced during weekdays. ### I am running late. Can I pay electronically instead? Starting November 1, if you do not bring cash to your appointment, 10% tax will be added along with a 3$ digital service fee. There will be no exceptions. ### I don’t have a sitter, so can I bring my kids? Absolutely not. No. Never. Nope. ### When can I expect to receive the address? You will receive appointment details between 48 and 24 hours before the service. I am located less than 10 minutes from Hyattsville Crossing. ### How long will the service take? I do not rush and cannot give exact time estimates for my service, please remember that everyone’s head is different. Be patient and avoid scheduling anything urgent immediately after your appointment. ### Parking Onsite You have several parking options available, and you should use your own discretion when choosing one. I cannot be held responsible if your vehicle is towed during servicing. Please make sure your car is parked properly, in accordance with local regulations, and do not leave any valuables inside. ### Can I reschedule my appointment? You have 24 hours to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you do not communicate within this time, 50% of the service fee will be charged.
